Grow Native Nursery

Grow Native Nursery is CalBG's non-profit retail nursery, located on site next to the Garden’s entrance. Critical to the mission of CalBG, Grow Native Nursery provides access to thousands of California native plants for businesses, homes, and community groups throughout southern California. All plant purchases help fund California Botanic Garden’s programs including conservation and restoration, the seed bank, community education, herbarium, and our Living Collection. 

Grow Native Nursery is currently closed for our summer hiatus and will reopen on Saturday & Sunday, October 10th and 11th with our Fall Plant Sale (Pre-Sale access for Acorn Members on Wednesday, October 7th).

During the regular season, GNN is open Fridays - Sundays, 9am-4pm. Our expert staff are on site to help answer questions and work with you towards creating a beautiful and biodiverse native plant-filled yard, patio, or balcony.

Grow Local Line: Launched in 2026, our Grow Local Line features  Coastal Sage Scrub plants collected next door with permission from the Bernard Field Station. These plants have adapted to our local climate and soil conditions and make excellent planting specimens for Claremont residents who want plants that support their local ecosystem and thrive in our area.
