FREEZE WILD BOXES ARE NOW CLOSED TO PUBLIC ORDERS.

Bring home the flavors of California with CalBG and Bert & Rocky's Freeze Wild native plant infused ice cream boxes!  Boxes include one pint each of three custom, limited edition frozen dessert flavors, plus recipe cards and an invitation to a virtual class discussing the ecological importance of each featured plant species, its medicinal and culinary uses, and how you can grow these plants in your home garden. 

Freeze Wild 2023 flavors, only available as part of our Take Home Boxes:

  • Chocolate Orange Bay Ice Cream: Rich chocolate and tangy orange infused with a hint of earthy, spicy, and just a little bit provocative California Bay Laurel.

  • Bluecurls 'n Cream: Light, creamy honey with soothing notes of pine and lavender from the flowers of an iconic and fragrant California shrub, the Woolly Bluecurls.

  • Elderflower Lemon Sorbet: Floral notes from the delicate blooms of the Blue Elderberry pair delightfully with bright lemon to create this refreshing dairy-free dessert.

Important note: Orders must be placed by Monday, July 24th. Boxes must be picked up in-person at California Botanic Garden on Saturday, August 5th between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or on Sunday, August 6th between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Freeze Wild virtual class will take place on Sunday, August 6th from 3:00-4:00 p.m. An invitation link will be sent via e-mail and the class will be available for watching at a later date.
