The reward of growing your own thriving plant from a cutting is a thrill like nothing else! Join us to learn the basic skills of native plant propagation from cuttings. With the guidance of Anthony Perez, CalBG Restoration Propagation Manager, and Hugo Sopeña, CalBG Nursery Coordinator, we will focus on cutting, trimming, preparing, and transplanting cuttings for growth.  Become familiar with some of the tools and materials we use in the Garden’s nursery, which you can use along with simple recycled materials from home to successfully propagate your own plants. After this hands-on class you will walk away with plant starts that you've prepared yourself.

Please note: Class time will involve standing at potting benches as well as a small amount of walking at a moderate pace while we collect cuttings in the garden. Please let us know if you would like a ride.
