The reward of growing your own thriving plant through the process of division is a thrill like nothing else! With the guidance of Anthony Perez, CalBG Restoration Propagation Manager, and Hugo Sopeña, CalBG Nursery Coordinator, this class will focus on the vegetative propagation of plants through divisions. After a brief introduction on differences in plant growth, types of division and best practices, the class will get a hands-on demonstration of collecting divisions both in-ground and from potted plants. Participants will go home with plants that they've prepared themselves.

Please note: Class time will involve standing at potting benches as well as walking at a moderate pace while we collect plants in the garden. Please let us know if you would like a ride.
