California Botanic Garden will host our annual fundraising gala, Forever California, on Sunday, May 4th, 2025. This event welcomes over 200 guests to the Garden’s beautiful living collection to celebrate California’s native habitats and the critical work of CalBG. Gala guests share a common purpose: to protect the native plants that make California one of the most biodiverse places on earth by supporting the largest Garden in the world dedicated to their preservation. 

Proceeds from the Forever California Gala support our mission to advance knowledge, appreciation, and conservation of California native plants. CalBG plays a crucial role in California’s conservation initiatives, protecting endangered species, and promoting sustainable practices across the state. By educating the public about native habitats, conducting research on rare and threatened plants, propagating native species for restoration projects, and safeguarding seeds in the California Seed Bank, CalBG is working toward a sustainable, resilient future for our region. What’s more, CalBG’s living collection continues to provide respite and resources for our community as a place of connection to each other and the local habitats we all hold dear.
